New Every Morning
It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
Lamentations is a book of grief. Yet in the middle of the sorrow the writer stops and remembers: his compassions fail not.
Yesterday’s failures do not use up today’s mercy. Each sunrise is a reminder that God’s faithfulness has not been exhausted by our weakness.
If yesterday was hard, receive today as a fresh start. Confess what needs confessing, forgive who needs forgiving, and step into the new mercy God has prepared for you this morning.
Oración
Great is your faithfulness, Lord. Thank you for mercies that are new this morning. Help me to walk in them today. Amen.
