Be Still
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalm 46:10
Psalm 46 describes a world in uproar — mountains shaking, waters roaring, nations raging. Into that noise God speaks: be still.
Stillness is not easy for us. Our phones buzz and our lists never end. But some things about God are only known in stillness. When we stop striving, we remember that he is God and we are not.
Today, find two minutes to sit in silence. Breathe slowly and repeat this verse, letting each word sink in.
Oración
Lord, quiet my heart. In the noise of this day, help me to be still and know that you are God. Amen.
